About
Rivermead Estate

Our Story

Originally a thriving dairy farm and arrowroot producer, Rivermead Estate formed part of the local Cobb & Co route which travelled from the Gold Coast to Beaudesert in the late-nineteenth century. A versatile property, even in its early days, the estate was also a well-known place for neighbours to gather, hosting a myriad of social functions and local cricket over the years.

Moving forward to the mid-late 1900s, the first two polo fields were established at Rivermead Estate and was celebrated as an International Polo Club, alongside a macadamia plantation and new abode, aptly named Casa Caballo: the Horse House.

Today, as you arrive at Rivermead Estate, you are greeted by the majestic heritage style home which was originally built in 1990 to replace Casa Caballo as the main residence and has since been beautifully renovated to accommodate and entertain friends, family, sporting teams, clients, and events alike.

Our Values

With Rivermead Estate’s deep cultural roots in equestrian and agricultural history: sustainability and respect for our traditions and natural environment are of utmost importance.

Rivermead Estate’s running creek, horse paddocks and panoramic woodlands are our odes to our environment and are all integrated into our conservational commitment to protect and work together with nature and its treasured habitats and for all those who share it.

We recommend indulging in Rivermead Estate’s majestic surroundings by immersing yourself into our equestrian facilities, taking a stroll through our woodland sanctuary and exploring what nature has to offer.
