On a steamy summer’s day in early January, Rivermead Estate was
abuzz with activity.
Forty influential women from business, racing and media
were set to descend on the property for the exclusive Women
with Horsepower lunch event, powered by The Star Gold Coast MagicMillions
and the carnival’s official vehicle sponsor, Frizelle Sunshine Automotive.

Star Gold Coast Magic Millions attracts attention from across the globe with

In 2020, the glamorous Magic Millions was hosted by carnival
ambassadors Abbey Way and Jett Kenny, who showcased the non-stop festivities
from the iconic Barrier Draw on Surfers Paradise beach, to the sparkling
Pacific Fair Magic Millions Polo and the official The Star Gold Coast Magic
For the first time in Magic Millions’ star-studded history, forty of the carnival’s
most influential women including Harvey Norman CEO and Magic Millions co-owner
Katie Page, The Star Gold Coast COO, Jess Mellor and racing royalty, Elaine
Lawlor were chaperoned from the Gold Coast strip to the majestic rural
surrounds of Rivermead Estate for the inaugural Women with Horsepower
lunch event – a momentous occasion pioneered Rebecca Frizelle, Chief Operating
Officer of Frizelle Sunshine Prestige and co-owner of the Gold Coast Titans NRL
Arriving with an impressive convoy of Ferraris, McLarens, Aston
Martins, Audis and Range Rovers, guests of the Women with Horsepower lunch were
invited to get behind the wheel of Frizelle’s prestige vehicle collection as
they journeyed from The Darling in Broadbeach to the doorstep of Rivermead
Estate in the Gold Coast’s Lower Hinterland suburb of Guanaba.
Upon arrival, the ladies were greeted by Rivermead’s dedicated
valet before being ushered to the sprawling estate pool for vibrant mocktails
and live acoustic music with vocals by the ethereal Brit Grey.
In the kitchen, acclaimed Executive Sous Chef, Sarah Jewell and
Chef De Cuisine, Carolyne Helmy of The Star Gold Coast were preparing a
four-course menu fit for a queen. The delectable menu featured dishes such as a
Yellowfin Tuna Crudo, Rangers Valley Tenderloin and a delicious Calrhona Jivara
Cremeux to finish.

special panel of guest speakers, hosted by Abbey Way, including
legendary women in racing Elaine Lawlor, Katelyn Mallyon, Emily Bosson and

a femme driven thoroughbred racing syndicate which saw Lawlor and a posse of
